The Luxembourg American Cultural Society is proud to be a sponsor of the Midwest tour of His Eminence, Cardinal Jean-Claude Hollerich, Archbishop of Luxembourg. He will be traveling the Midwest starting July 31st, 2022, with his visit culminating at the Luxembourg Fest Mass, Sunday, August 14th at 10 am.  Destinations include:

Chicago, Illinois; Aurora, Illinois; St. Donatus, Iowa; New Ulm, Minnesota; La Crosse, Wisconsin; and Port Washington, Wisconsin, before traveling to Belgium, Wisconsin.

The Luxembourg Fest Mass takes place at Community Park (106 Beech Street) in Belgium, Wisconsin. This mass is open to all who wish to attend.  The Cardinal will also be attending other events in the area.  The full schedule of his visit is below:

Sunday, July 31 – Chicago, Illinois

9:30 a.m. – Mass at St. Margaret Mary Church (now Holy Child Jesus Church), 2324 W. Chase Avenue, Chicago, IL, 60645, and blessing of statue of Our Lady of Luxembourg donated by the Archdiocese of Luxembourg in memory of George Meyers – Luxembourg Brotherhood of America Grand Lodge President.

 

1:00 – 5:30 p.m. – 85th Annual Schobermesse festival sponsored by the Luxembourg Brotherhood of America at the American Legion Post, 6144 Dempster Street, Morton Grove, IL, 60053.  Live music, food/beverages and games.  More information – luxbrotherhood.org

 

Monday, August 1 – Chicago, Illinois

8:00 a.m. – Mass at St. Michael’s Church, the spiritual home of the “city” Luxembourgers, 1633 N. Cleveland Avenue, Chicago, IL, 60614.

 

Tuesday, August 2 – Aurora, Illinois
