SUMMARY:Living Memory Project: Voices of Luxembourg's Holocaust Survivors
DESCRIPTION:Saturday October 24th\, 2026 (10am-11am\, Central Time) \nSince May 2024\, the Zentrum fir politesch Bildung\, with the support of its partners\, carries out a major campaign to collect testimonies from Holocaust survivors linked to Luxembourg.\nNearly 60 interviews were conducted in 8 countries with these people\, who were children at the time. Join Blandine Landau as she discusses this project which she is leading. \nTickets:\nMembers: Free\nNon-Members: $15 \nABOUT THE SPEAKER: \nAfter her master’s degrees in art history and museology\, Dr. Blandine Landau pursued a career in museums. From 2016 to 2020 she conducted a PhD studying the market of Boschian pictures from the 16th century to nowadays (Duke University – Université Lyon II). In 2024 she defended a PhD focusing on the dispossession of the Jews in Luxembourg during World War II (C2DH-University of Luxembourg – EHESS\, Paris). Her first post-doctoral project focused on the recording and indexation of testimonies of Shoah survivors connected to Luxembourg (Zentrum fir politesch Bildung\, Luxembourg\, and EHESS\, Paris).  Since September 2025 she leads various post-doctoral projects linked to the Digital Memorial of the Shoah in Luxembourg at the C2DH – University of Luxembourg and as an associate researcher at the EHESS.
