SUMMARY:History Talk Part II: Luxembourg’s Journey Through Foreign Rule: 1443–1890
DESCRIPTION:[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]This program is the second part of the History Talk series and continues the exploration of Luxembourg’s past. Building on the first talk\, which covered the early years from 963 to 1443\, this installment focuses on the transformative period beginning in 1443\, when Luxembourg came under foreign rule. From there\, it traces the country’s evolution through centuries of political\, social\, and cultural change. \n  \nAbout the Speaker: \nMarc lives in Frisange\, Luxembourg and works as Head of Employee Benefits Department for La Luxembourgeoise\, one of the leading insurance companies in Luxembourg. He has a passion for genealogy and the Luxembourg emigration to the United States. He has published an article about the local emigration from Frisange\, Aspelt and Hellange to America and has researched the emigration from Luxembourg’s Moselle region to the United States. He also wrote for the municipality of Dalheim about emigration from the villages of Dalheim\, Filsdorf\, and Welfrange to the United States. The municipality’s book\, which also tells the story of Dalheim\, is scheduled to be published in the first quarter of 2026.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text] \n\nThis Event is SOLD OUT.\nIf you are interested on being added to a waitlist\, contact us at info@lacs.lu or call Call 262-476-5086.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
