Opening Night of
August 9th, 3:00pm-5:00pm
The Luxembourg American Cultural Society is excited to announce the featured photography Exhibition, “Dynasty: Luxembourg-Nassau”, by celebrated Luxembourgish photographer, Marc Schoentgen, with text by Archivist to the Grand Ducal Court, Pierre Even.
The Exhibition focuses on the symbols of the Luxembourg Royal Dynasty, highlighting rare details found in places and on objects normally out of the public eye. “Dynasty” includes a wide range of photographs, from the 1763 Family Pact of Nassau and interiors of the Grand Ducal Palace, to personal artifacts belonging to the Nassau Family, such as Grand Duke Adolphe’s reading glasses and jewelry belonging to Grand Duchess Charlotte.
Visitors will also be able to answer questions for a chance to win prizes.
“Dynasty” opens with a special reception on August 9th, when visitors can view the works and enjoy a glass of Luxembourgish wine. The Exhibition is sponsored by The Luxembourg Ministry of Culture and the Roots and Leaves Association. It will be on display at the Belgium Village Hall during Luxembourg Fest on August 11th from 10:00am-4:00pm and on Sunday, August 12th, from 10:00am-1:00pm.
